Needed – Drivers to pull trailers

Hello Titan Families,
 
We are in need of pit crew and driver volunteers for this Saturday at the Del Oro Field Spectacular.  Please sign up at the link below if you can help!
 

What we need:

DRIVERS:

  • Arrive at Antelope High School to load at 11:00 am.
  • Depart from Antelope High School for Del Oro around 12:00 pm.
  • Depart from Del Oro for Antelope High School to unload around 11:30 pm.
  • 12:30 am – go home!

2 trucks with class 4 hitches and brake controls for the 20 foot trailers

1 vehicle that can pull the golf cart trailer

PIT CREW: We will need 12 parents for the Del Oro Field Show. People need to be at Del Oro High School @ Antelope Band staging area by 6:40 pm.

The estimated length of time needed for Pit Crew should be from 6:40 – 8:30. People will be there to help explain what to do and how you can help. Come experience the best seats in the house!

**Drivers can also sign up for Pit Crew!

Duties to include: Assist students with transporting pit equipment to the field staging area. Help students move pit equipment onto and off the field as well as back to the staging area. Once equipment is returned, pit crew can leave.

If some parents can stay longer, help may be needed to break down pop-ups and other misc. equipment.

In case a parent is not able to make it, we are also asking for people to sign-up as a “stand-by” or backup volunteer for Pit Crew.

7:45 Arrive – Antelope High School
8:00 – Rehearsal in stadium
10:30 – Back to band room
Pack up equipment
Dismiss all but trailer loading crew
11:00 – Load trailer
12:00 – Dismiss loading crew
3:00 – Load Buses @AnHS and head to Del Oro
3:30 – Arrive Del Oro
Unload trailers
4:00 – Dinner provided by Boosters
5:00 – Get into uniforms
5:30 – Warm-ups
7:00 – Run-though
7:20 Walk to stadium
7:35 – Stand-by
7:45 – Perform
8:00 – Back to trailers
Change and load trailer
9:00 – Snack provided by Boosters
Head back to stadium
10:00 – Awards
11:30 – Load Buses
Head back to AnHS
Everyone help unload back at school
12:30 – Go Home!!!!!

Oakmont Driver & Pit Crew Signups – 10/13/2018

Oakmont Field Show 10/13/2018 – Food Donations & Volunteer Sign Ups

Our first field show is at Oakmont High School on 10/13/2018. Food donations and volunteer help are needed. Please make sure your student brings their personal water jug to every competition.  Additional water will be available.
We will serve the kids dinner which will include teriyaki chicken, rice, stir fry veggies and chocolate and yellow cake for dessert at approximately 3pm. We will also provide a light snack after the performance.
 
As always, if your student has any dietary restrictions, please email me at president@antelopeband.org and we will make every effort to accommodate.
Please bring all food donations to the band room on Saturday, 10/13/2018 at 8:00am when your student is dropped off.
Volunteers will need to arrive at Oakmont HS by 2:00pm. Please bring your own chairs. Text Kim @ 916.595.0703 when you arrive at Oakmont to locate the hospitality team.

Welcome Back & Concert Black Orders Due

Welcome to Spring 2018 Concert Season!  The calendar has been updated to include all scheduled events for Spring 2018.  Please visit our Calendar Page and sync up your calendars – any changes should then automatically update to your personal calendar.   Concert Blacks order forms were due Friday, 1/12/18.  The first concert is March 3 – this gives us very little time to order and receive, so please check your student’s current concert blacks and submit your order ASAP, if you haven’t already.  There will not be a second order placed.

Vintage Reserve Band Review Competition

There is an admission charge to watch the Field Show Competition. The admission cost is $10.00 for general admission, $5.00 for Seniors & Students and children 5 and under are FREE.

The Antelope Titan Band & Guard perform at 7:00pm and Awards begin at 9:00pm.
